For the past two years, Chris Lawson Jr. lived in Charlotte and attended Hough High School (NC). Until that point, he’d grown up and lived in Columbia, SC. Now, he’s back.

The three-star Lawson transferred this summer to Ridge View (SC) and through two games has a pair of wins. The move put Rivals.com’s No. 8 player in South Carolina back close to family and friends. Now, he’s figuring out where he wants his recruitment to go, including if he wants to stay home or head elsewhere. That decision might not be far away.

“I came down here really optimistic,” Lawson said. “I’ve lived here before, so it was just like, ok, I wanted to make my mark. There’s a few people I already know here, childhood friends. It was just cool to meet back up with them.”
