Virginia Tech football began hosting recruits last Tuesday. Throughout the week, large numbers of players came to Blacksburg for unofficial visits, while a group of players showed up for official visits this weekend.
According to 247Sports.com, Tech has “offered” 300+ players in the 2022 class. It’s a lot harder to accurately keep up with recruiting these days than it was back when Tech and most other schools generally never offered more than 50 players per class.
Today I’ll try to update you with who visited Tech officially this past weekend. I don’t claim this to be a complete list, but it’s the best one I could come up with. It will contain plenty of names that you recognize, and a few that you don’t.
Don’t get too caught up in the rankings right now. Most of these guys haven’t been seen in person since 2019 up until this week. All schools and evaluators are way behind in evaluations, and I’m guessing a lot will change between now and the December Signing Day.
Note that recruiting rankings referred to in this article are 247 in-house rankings, not their composite (summary of all recruiting services) rankings.

Ms. Givens has been Tweeting since last year, and she’s never once tweeted or retweeted anything about Gunner and any other school. It’s all Virginia Tech, all the time....
