1) ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips hinted that Comcast will add the ACCN by this September. If that is true, then how big of a deal would that be for the ACC? If for some reason the new contract does not include the ACCN, then what does that signal to you regarding the value of the ACCN and the potential future for the ACC? – VTHokie2000

Chris Coleman: David Teel wrote a good piece on Phillips back on May 7.  I was off the grid in the Virgin Islands and totally missed it, and didn’t know the article existed until you asked this question, so I’m glad you asked.  Here’s the passage you are referring to…

“Phillips told his audiences in Blacksburg and Charlottesville that he believes ESPN/Disney, the conference’s partner in the ACC Network, likely will strike a carriage agreement by September with cable behemoth Xfinity/Comcast.”
