Wide receiver Greg Gaines is one of many recruits who will visit Virginia Tech in June.

In case you missed it, the NCAA has officially lifted the recruiting dead period beginning on June 1.  Barring some sort of a big step back over the course of the next month, recruiting will resume as normal at the conclusion of the month of May.

For the past couple of weeks, recruiting targets have been announcing their upcoming visits on social media.  It’s impossible to get the information on all of the visits that are happening, but today I do want to update you on some of the visits that will be taking place once things get back to normal on June 1.

Right now, Virginia Tech is expected to sign a very small class in 2022.  The Hokies signed a big class in 2021, and they don’t have the scholarship space to do that for two years in a row.  You’ll hear a lot more names between now and Signing Day than Tech actually has room for, and at times it will be difficult if not impossible to determine who is a take and who isn’t.

Some current Tech commits are scheduling their visits, such as quarterback Devin Farrell on June 4, and offensive lineman Braelin Moore on June 18.  However, this article is going to focus on uncommitted players.
