Today we’ll conclude our spring positional articles on Virginia Tech football with a look at the defensive backs. The Hokies lose Divine Deablo to the NFL, but they also return plenty of veterans.
Please note that all defensive backs are listed on the roster as “DBs”. Thus, we don’t know with 100% certainty what position certain players are working at this spring. We know the difference between cornerbacks and safeties, of course, but we don’t know for sure which safeties are working at field safety and which are working at boundary safety. The best bet is that most are working at both spots right now so the coaches can get a feel for which position they fit the best.
