By my count there are six scholarship players at Virginia Tech’s two linebacker positions this spring, and they are equally spread out between the two positions.  Jack Tyler takes over as linebackers coach for the first time, though he was probably already the linebackers coach in practice last season.

We’ll first focus on the Mike spot, and then move on to Backer.

Mike: Dax’s Natural Position?

The three Mike linebackers who are currently in the program are as follows…

Dax Hollifield (6-1, 239, Jr.)
Keshon Artis (6-0, 244, r-So.)
Dean Ferguson (6-2, 228, r-Fr.)
