The numbers might not scream elite athlete. This past fall, Hightower (TX) four-star wide receiver Latrell Neville hauled in 30 catches for 276 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Of course, Neville faced constant double teams, as opponents didn’t make it easy to get him the ball. That hasn’t stopped college programs from seeing his ability and potential. Neville, No. 198 in the 2021 Rivals250, claims over 40 offers. A few have separated themselves a bit, but he’s not ready to make any moves.

Neville has one official visit planned, but he’s also looking into getting his game up, to boost those stats.

“Right now, I’m 10 times better than before last season,” he said. “I shredded 10 pounds since the season ended, to get to 190. I’m feeling faster, getting stronger. I’m looking forward to…I just want to be the most dominant receiver in high school. I’ve been grinding a lot, putting in the work. I want to make sure on Friday nights, I hear my name a lot.”

The lone official visit Neville has planned as of now is Oct. 10 to Florida, when the Gators host LSU. He said he also is considering visits to Alabama, Oklahoma, Penn State and Virginia Tech.
