Earlier this week, it appeared that Pearland (TX) 2021 four-star running back Brandon Campbell’s recruitment was winding down. On Sunday, Campbell announced a top 11 of Penn State, Purdue, Arizona, Houston, LSU, USC, Washington, Virginia Tech, TCU, UTSA and Illinois. Last night, though, Campbell backtracked and announced that list no longer exists.

It’s a tough decision for most high school students, athletes or not, where they’ll attend college. For Campbell, it’s no different. A few schools have caught his attention, but at this point, it’s more staying open to any new college programs that enter the picture.

“Initially, I thought I had an idea,” Campbell said. “That’s the reason I had a top 11. At this point, I’m not sure again. I just talk to some coaches. I just looked deeper, and now I’m having to reconsider. I feel like I’m back at stage one, seeing what’s best for me. I’m open to every school, what they have to offer. I’m really taking my time. It’s weird, because I’ll graduate next December, but I don’t feel like I’m in a rush. But I now have a decision to be made fairly soon.”
