It’s early in the process, but Lowndes (Ga.) 2021 three-star safety TJ Quinn is already getting a good feel for his recruitment. He has a pair of early offers, and after a few visits, he’s getting a sense of how his game fits in to what certain programs are looking for.Crop featured image
Virginia Tech and Coastal Carolina have already offered scholarships, while Quinn said he’s also heard from Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Tulane, Wake Forest and Georgia. Last weekend, Quinn was on hand for the Hokies’ win over Wake Forest, his second visit to Virginia Tech. He also attended the Blacksburg Bash in July.
“When I went to Virginia Tech, the coaches, they just showed love to me,” Quinn said. “They appreciated I came down there. Sometimes when I go to other games, we don’t talk to the coaches. That was the first time the coaches really talked to us before games.”
Special teams coordinator James Shibest has been Quinn’s primary recruiter. They’ve stayed in steady contact and caught up last weekend.
