We all know that Hendon Hooker has made a huge impact on the Virginia Tech offense this year.  His performances – including his worst performance to date – have all passed the eye test.  Likewise, the Virginia Tech offense has passed the eye test every time Hooker has been behind center.

We know he passes the eye test, and the Hokies haven’t lost a single football game with him as the starting quarterback.  But exactly how much better is Tech’s offense?  What do the numbers tell us?  They tell us what we already suspected…there’s no comparison between the Hooker offense and the offense with either Ryan Willis or Quincy Patterson as the starter.
