It’s been a few days now, since Shelbyville (Tenn.) three-star defensive tackle Gary Smith III decided which college he will be attending. On Sunday, he’ll let everyone else know, too.

Smith, Rivals.com’s No. 26 player in Tennessee, has set his commitment announcement for 4 pm ET on Sunday. He’s down to two finalists, Virginia Tech and Duke, each of which he officially visited this month. Smith said he wanted to commit close to his birthday, which is Friday.

“The third seems like the best day because my friends and family could be there,” he said. “I’m just ready to leave it alone before playoffs start, so I don’t have to talk about it anymore. I’m just ready to focus on my team, lead them into the playoffs. That’s always the goal.”
