1) Thoughts, insights and predictions on the ACC thus far? – ChazB

Chris Coleman:  It’s always been a pretty safe bet that Clemson was going to win the Atlantic Division, and that’s definitely the case.  However, the Tigers haven’t looked as good as I thought they would this season.  That’s probably my biggest surprise so far, followed by the fact that UNC looks better than expected, though to be fair they did lose to Appalachian State at home, too.  I thought Tech would be  a bit better, too, but perhaps they will with Hendon Hooker behind center.

Outside of Clemson winning the league, I think the only thing that we can accurately predict is that the league will continue to be unpredictable.  Some of the results this year haven’t made any sense at all.  Here are some examples…

Virginia Tech gets drilled at home in a night game against Duke, then beats Miami on the road despite the Hurricanes coming off a bye week.

Pitt, of all teams, ended UCF’s winning streak, and then barely beat Delaware the next week.

North Carolina beat South Carolina and Miami, and took Clemson to overtime.  However, they also lost at home to Appalachian State and took it on the chin for most of the game from Wake Forest in a 24-19 loss.

Duke beat Virginia Tech easily on the road, and then lost at home to Pitt 33-30 after falling behind 26-3.

NC State gave up 44 to West Virginia and their struggling offense,
