Yes, his name is pronounced just like the smooth-running sports car. And the way Havelock (NC) three-star athlete Kamarro Edmonds runs, it might look like you’re watching a Camaro.

Edmonds, Rivals.com’s No. 40 athlete and No. 22 player in North Carolina for 2021, has six offers. That group consists of Virginia Tech, Tennessee, North Carolina, East Carolina, NC State and South Carolina. But in figuring out where this sports car would run best, there’s also some uncertainty by schools about what position that would be.

“Some have seen my running back highlights and receiver highlights and they want me to play slot,” Edmonds said. “To be honest, I can go both ways to help the team out. I feel like I’m just as good at running back and wide receiver. My route running is good, I’ve got good hands. On defense, I can tackle, lock up and all that.”

The Hokies like Edmonds currently as an athlete and have raised the possibility of running back, wide receiver and cornerback. But Edmonds himself got his first look at the program and school Sept. 27 when Virginia Tech hosted Duke.

“They told me they had the best intros and I believe it, it was crazy,” he said. “The crowd was loud. The campus is beautiful.
