1) Based on what we have on defense, would a 3-4 alignment be better than the 4-3 we are playing? We certainly have a plethora of good linebackers, and our young defensive linemen need to redshirt. – Tech76G

Chris Coleman: One correction.  Tech runs a 4-2-5, as the nickel is more defensive back than linebacker.  There’s a lot of gray area in terms of defense these days, meaning sometimes it can be difficult to differentiate between a 3-4, a 4-2-5 or a 4-3.  Here’s a good read from Brandon Patterson about different defensive schemes and how Tech’s personnel might fit.
