The volume of contact for Stonewall Jackson (Va.) 2021 four-star defensive tackle Tyleik Williams continues to go up. As the new offers come in (now at 15), he does his best to keep tabs with anyone who reaches out on Twitter.
It’s still relatively early for Williams, who insists he hasn’t narrowed his focus at all. Staying in touch with as many coaches as possible on Twitter or anywhere else is important, as he gets a feel for all his options.
“I mean, it’s nothing crazy,” Williams said. “I get excited when I see it, to be honest. They just want to talk, have a conversation. They send me edits and all that. They’re all basically the same things. It’s just different types of edits. It’s all good, though.”
Virginia Tech has done its best to stay in the loop with Williams, No. 211 in the 2021 Rivals250, but the Hokies might have some work to do.
“They’re a good school, I just haven’t been up there as much as the other schools,” Williams said. “They’re basically the same as the others. I text them every now and then, just to see what’s going on.”
Assistant coach Justin Hamilton has been the main contact throughout the process for the Hokies, and Williams said he still likes what he has heard.
