Throughout last season, there was something nagging him. Katy (TX) 2021 four-star cornerback Hunter Washington played through it, but his wrist ached nearly every game. Sometimes, it throbbed.

In March, Washington underwent wrist surgery and spent the summer getting himself back to full health. That could at least partly explain his relatively low number of scholarship offers.
