For over two months, Ribault (Fla.) defensive back Keonta Jenkins leaned a little bit towards one school. Still, he did his homework, with visits to Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, South Florida, South Alabama and Liberty since this spring.

But on Friday, Jenkins was ready to move forward. He committed to Virginia Tech, whom he visited July 27 for the Blacksburg Bash barbecue. In the weeks since, he’d especially had the Hokies on his mind.
