Before he visited Virginia Tech yesterday on an unofficial visit, Westfield (Va.) 2019 quarterback Noah Kim swears he didn’t know he would commit to a scholarship offer from the Hokies. He had an inkling something could happen, but he didn’t know for sure.

“Basically, it was on the spot,” Kim said of his commitment. “I didn’t really know 100%, but I just thought, I talked to my parents about the colleges that had been to the school. Virginia Tech was a reoccurring school. They wanted me to come down on Thursday. It just seemed very promising. I told my parents, if they offered, would you be okay with me committing? They said, ‘Of course.’ When the time came, that’s just a place I wanted to be.”

Thursday afternoon, just before he left Blacksburg, Kim did receive that offer from the Hokies. It took all of a few seconds to respond that he would take the full offer that was made by coach Justin Fuente.
