Virginia Tech’s media folks have put out a few snippets of video this year giving a behind-the-scenes look at Spring Practice. They’re fun and fast-paced, but they’re also context free. That doesn’t mean they’re devoid of useful info, though. Here’s some context and interpretation (and a few quips) on these clips and the smidgen of Spring Game footage that was released.

1:01: This is a Change-of-Direction (COD) drill. Linebackers spend a lot of time moving back and forth laterally as their keys change through the course of a play, which makes drills like this vital.
