It’s getting to the point that Mauldin (SC) 2020 three-star cornerback Andru Phillips is seeing an end to his recruitment in sight. Phillips, now at 16 offers, already knows when his decision will come.

The trick now is to get to that point. Phillips said he wants to announce his decision on July 8, the anniversary of his move to South Carolina three years ago. He spent the previous 11 years in Louisville, Kentucky. More visits are coming, but a pair of weekend visits have also factored largely in Phillips’ decision-making process.

“I mean, I can tell which schools I’m interested in,” he said. “I’ve done my research. I want to take a visit to those I enjoy, and then it’s about relationships with coaches. If I don’t have a good relationship, I just can’t consider it.”
