Without going into great detail about any position, I want to provide an overall view of the scholarship players who are on the squad this spring, their injury status, playing status, and position.  We’re going to start with the offense today. By my count, there are 29 scholarship players on offense on the spring roster, and we’ll break them down by position.

Note that heights and weights have not been updated as of yet, and we aren’t sure if they will be updated before August.  We’re going to list each player in order of seniority, so just because a player is listed first at a particular position doesn’t mean he’s going to be the starter, or that we are projecting him to be the starter.

Quarterback (3)

Ryan Willis (6-4, 223, r-Sr.)
Hendon Hooker (6-4, 225, r-So.)|
Quincy Patterson (6-4, 236, r-Fr.)

This position is pretty straightforward.  Ryan Willis returns after starting most of last season following Josh Jackson’s injury.  Quincy Patterson is the guy who is getting the hype from the fanbase.  Hendon Hooker put his name in the transfer database, but then decided to return to Blacksburg.
