Virginia Tech has one regular season game remaining against Miami, and they’ll face the gauntlet that is the ACC Tournament. After that, on March 17, they’ll learn their NCAA Tournament seeding and destination on Selection Sunday.
As Tech fans, we all know that Selection Sunday doesn’t always go as expected. However, the last two Hokie teams have been seeded pretty much exactly where they were expected to be seeded. If that holds up in 2019, then the Hokies will be a much higher seed than they were the last two years when they were stuck in the 8-9 game.
Probably the two most famous bracketologists, Joe Lunardi of ESPN and Jerry Palm of CBS, both have the Hokies as a No. 5 seed. In fact, they both have Tech playing in the exact same city, and potentially against the exact same opponent in the second round.
