For half of his lifew, Clear Lake (TX) three-star quarterback Shae Suiaunoa has lived in the Lone-Star State. There’s a part of him, however, that yearns to be back at his original home, California.
“I really say, I’m both,” Suiaunoa said on which he calls home. “I love the outdoors. But when we go to the beach, I love it, the Cali vibe. I’m both, though. I can’t really pick one.”
That’s not to say Suiaunoa has a preference of location on his future home. He’s waiting to see exactly what options he’ll have. At one point, Suiaunoa claimed offers from schools like Nebraska, UCLA, Arkansas and Kansas State. But not ready to commit, he waited, and now he has just one solid offer. Still, Suiaunoa said he’s hopeful of what lies ahead after the current NCAA recruiting dead period, when he hopes more schools get more room in their recruiting classes.
“I just want to make sure it feels like home, where I won’t get homesick,” he said. “Education will be everywhere, but it’s good to fall back on. I just want somewhere that you have that feeling, that it’s the place for you.”...
