In some ways, yesterday was just a formality.           

Coffeyville Community College (Kan.) defensive back Brion Murray has spoken to coaches at Virginia Tech for a few weeks. He visited last weekend officially. But it wasn’t until yesterday that Murray was formally offered by the Hokies.           

Now, Murray is down to two schools: Virginia Tech and Texas Tech. With signing day next Wednesday, he has less than a week to make a decision.
