It looked like Jones County Junior College (Miss.) defensive tackle DaShawn Crawford was done with his recruitment months ago. On Oct. 10, the second-year JUCO standout gave his commitment to Troy.           

Just last week, though, Virginia Tech changed that. The Hokies had been in contact for a few weeks and made him an offer. Now, Crawford is torn. He could stay with his original decision, or he could take on his latest contender’s offer.           

“I’m committed, but I’m looking for something bigger,” Crawford said. “There’s still a possibility I could go there [Troy]. They’re a great environment, a good school. The coaches are great, too. They all talk well with you. But bigger schools mean bigger opportunities.”
