Virginia Tech Quarterback Review

Leadership is an important quality a quarterback must have to help a team succeed. Without leadership at quarterback, who’s going to point the offense in the right direction? Who’s going to be the source of strength when faced with adversity? Having the confidence to take charge, make the right decisions, and execute a game plan are essential qualities to run an offense effectively.

Legendary head coach Frank Beamer once defined what a successful quarterback looks like saying, “He runs our team. He’s very much in control. He’s the calmest guy on our sideline … that’s the mark of a good quarterback and a good leader for your offense. He’s always got it under control.”
