Personally, for a moment there this was the most unsatisfying win since the Rutgers bowl game. It was the football equivalent of passing a kidney stone. But there’s the Carolina Way factor, which automatically bumps up the enjoyment level.

Now let’s get to the good stuff. Quillen grabbed the game-changing fumble, but handicaps the impact slightly by barely stumbling out of the end zone. The Hokies have to move the ball 98 yards.

Steven Peoples run for 4 yds to the VT 6

A little breathing room run.

Virginia Tech Penalty, false start (-3 Yards) to the VT 3

Cunningham stands up to hear the count and the UNC defense pretends to react to it. Personally, I hate how offensive players can stand up and rock in their stances to hear the snap count, but as the game is called, I don’t think this should’ve been flagged.

Ryan Willis pass complete to Damon Hazelton for 29 yds to the VT 32 for a 1ST down

Hazleton gives a shake and picks up his first catch of the game.
