There hasn’t been much slowing down for Brentwood Academy (Tenn.) three-star linebacker Devyn Curtis. There has only been one weekend this college football season that he hasn’t visited a school. Despite an injury, he hasn’t missed a game himself.

Curtis has two offers, from South Carolina and Vanderbilt, but hoping for more, he’s made a point to make as many visits as possible to get his name and face on the minds of coaches.

Now, Curtis is playing the waiting game with his recruiting. The interest from schools has continued to come, leaving him hopeful more offers will come soon.

“Nobody’s really told me why they haven’t offered,” Curtis said. “My coaches just told me to stay patient and it will come. I guess I just need to keep playing the way I’ve been playing and hope to improve.”

Curtis,’s No. 23 player in Tennessee for 2020, visited Virginia Tech Oct. 6 for its game against Notre Dame. His only previous visit to Blacksburg was in April for the Hokies’ spring game.
