The adjustment period is still ongoing. Over the summer, 2020 running back Khamran Laborn transferred to Bayside (Va.) from Norview (Va.). Laborn is still looking for consistency, after a few ups and downs.

Against Landstown (Va.), Laborn had a big 61-yard touchdown catch. It’s been enough to catch the attention of schools like Penn State, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh and East Carolina, but the chances haven’t been there every game.

Laborn still has an offer from Virginia Tech, which came just over a year ago. Now, he’s trying to stay patient as he waits for his recruitment to really kick into gear.

“I’ve done really good with the touches I got,” Laborn said. “I’ve got to try to make the most of special teams, like kick return. They just started me on special teams because another senior was at returner. That was my second game starting and my first return. When I got the ball, I was like, ‘I’ve got to score.’”
