As an offensive lineman, Lord Botetourt (Va.) three-star Jesse Hanson doesn’t hear his name called much, but it’s the same for most offensive linemen. While they have one of the most important tasks on the field, they rarely touch the football.
The Virginia Tech commitment’s future is on the offensive side of the ball, but starting last season, Hanson also played on the defensive side of the ball. That was due to his size and skill, but also his team’s needs.
That placement gave Hanson a rare opportunity on Friday. It also resulted in more affirmation of his choice, to join the Hokies as an early graduate in January.
