Virginia Tech’s defense will be young in 2018, and for the most part they’ll be inexperienced. The Hokies do return three starters on the defensive line, but every other starter is new, with the exception of projected starting rover Reggie Floyd.
However, that doesn’t mean they’ll be without talent. Five of the projected replacements were signed in the 2017 class as part of Justin Fuente’s first full class, and a couple of those guys were very highly-touted recruits.
Today we’re going take a look at Virginia Tech’s projected starting defense in 2018 and examine their number of Power 5 offers, as well as the top schools that recruited them.
