A person can likely gather a lot about a place in a day. Five days provide an even better, intimate look.

Webb School (Tenn.) 2021 athlete Elijah Howard got the latter over the past week at Virginia Tech, one of three early offers on the table. Tennessee and Tulane are also on board. Still early in the process, Howard is still getting familiar with his three options, as well as others who might be close to joining them.

Howard arrived in Blacksburg for the first time on Thursday, June 7, was on hand for the Hokies’ weekend camps, then returned Tuesday to Knoxville. The trip gave him a good grasp of what he could expect at Virginia Tech.
