Evan Pryor Earns Virginia Tech Offer

While it’s still a bit early in the recruitment of Hough (NC) 2021 running back Evan Pryor, he’s still getting a good look at some of his options. He has 10 offers already.

Pryor received his most recent offer Sunday, from Virginia Tech. He has a sense of what he’s looking for in his college home, but with three high school seasons remaining, Pryor is only beginning to delve in to what’s out there.

“I want a place where they have academics that meet my requirements,” he said. “They can recruit good players, then when they get out, they have a great education. After football, I want to be set for life.”

The Hokies offered Pryor after he participated in their camp Sunday. It was Pryor’s second trip to Virginia Tech, after competing in a seven-on-seven tournament there last summer.

“After the camp, we went on a tour with Coach (James) Shibest,” Pryor said. “We checked out the locker room, weight room and just things on campus. It’s a nice campus and it looks like a cool place to be.”

Shibest has been Pryor’s primary recruiter, but assistant coach Zohn Burden has also factored in, and coached Pryor during the
