Virginia Tech Offer Long-Awaited By Charlotte Athlete

It was early last month, when Myers Park (NC) 2020 athlete Cameron Roseman-Sinclair visited Virginia Tech. At the time, he didn’t have an offer. Now, he can see the Hokies a little differently.

On May 23, Virginia Tech offered Roseman-Sinclair, bringing his offer total to seven. West Virginia, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina and Wake Forest are also officially in pursuit. But there’s also a history with the Hokies, in addition to a connection, that has Roseman-Sinclair especially excited for an offer.

On April 1, Roseman-Sinclair visited Blacksburg with his teammate, Virginia Tech 2019 wide receiver commit Elijah Bowick. They talked about future possibilities on that trip. When Roseman-Sinclair’s offer came, Bowick’s reaction was expected.

“I’ve been wanting that one for a while now,” Roseman-Sinclair said of the Hokies. “I’ve been wanting it for a minute, since my freshman year. I was expecting it, since I had Elijah on my team with me. I got it through my coach. It was pretty crazy. I was with Elijah and he ran up to me and jumped and hugged me.”

Special teams coordinator James Shibest has recruited both players, and Roseman-Sinclair said they’ve stayed in regular contact.
