At this point, Knoxville Catholic (Tenn.) 2020 four-star offensive tackle Bryn Tucker is still gathering information and learning about his potential options. Two concluded visits and one upcoming visit, however, could have a profound impact on his recruitment.
Tucker (6-foot-5, 300 pounds) now has 14 offers and over the last two weeks saw two of those schools — Virginia Tech and Auburn. He’s set to see Tennessee this weekend.
Those trips have resonated in a few ways with Tucker, so much so that he has a working top list in his head, though he’s not ready to reveal it. Still, Tucker said he has more searching to do, with an idea of the qualities he’d like to have in his next home.
“I’m just looking for the best school that I will be committing to,” he said. “I look at it as I’ll spend the next four years of my life there. Also, it needs to be a great situation for my family. I want the best education possible. I know all schools have great educations, but I want it to be a school known for my major. I want a great coaching staff, and also there being a great bond with the players on the team and a warm welcome.”
Tucker said one of those ideas for a major would have to do with a possible business plan for after college.
