Hudson’s Recruitment Could Be Drawing to a Close

The visit spree has continued for Scott County (Ky.) four-star offensive lineman Bryan Hudson.  Another upcoming round of college visits could be all he needs, however, to make a final decision.

Over the past month, Hudson, No. 242 in the Rivals 250 for 2019, made three more trips, to Virginia Tech, Louisville and Duke. This weekend, he’ll see Florida, LSU and Ole Miss. While there is no decision date, Hudson could be nearing a commitment.

Nearly two weeks ago, Hudson made his third stop in Blacksburg. He also saw the Hokies’ junior day in January, and in September attended their home opener against Delaware. For Hudson, his most recent stop was also the most thorough.

“This visit, they had an elite day that Saturday (March 17),” Hudson said. “I went Thursday night and visited all day Friday. We got to see the academics, do the campus tour, see the dorms and the dining facilities. It was pretty much everything I hadn’t seen before. I got to spend a lot of time with Coach (Justin) Fuente and Coach (Vance) Vice both of those days. I got to see the first spring practice, too. That Friday morning, my whole family was with me. We got up at 5:30 and watched a 5:30 practice, so that was pretty cool.”

Hudson said he believes he and Vice have especially grown close. That includes the ample time they spent together on Hudson’s most recent visit.
