Pinckney’s Recruiting Stature Continues To Rise

The demand for Dorman (SC) three-star wide receiver Jacoby Pinckney has certainly risen of late. Syracuse, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas, NC State and Florida are most recent to offer.  He currently stands at 15 offers overall.

Visit-wise, it’s been quiet for Pinckney (6-3, 192) this spring. That will change soon, and a few that are already scheduled could speed up his decision-process.

“They did change how I looked at stuff,” Pinckney said. “Distance isn’t a problem. If I like the school, I like it. Oklahoma, that’s one that made me really think about it.”

The Sooners offered at the end of January. And on March 30, he’s set to make his first trip to Oklahoma.

 “I like the opportunity,” Pinckney said. “They’re a good, winning school. They have a good coaching staff. I’ve never been. Really, I want to get to see the coaches in person. I’m going to watch practice, so I want to see how they do, see how the surrounding area is.”

In July of 2016, Virginia Tech was the second school to offer Pinckney,’s No. 7 player in South Carolina for 2019. The Hokies have remained firmly towards the top since.
