DeJuan Ellis is one of the best athletes in the 2018 recruiting class.

Height: 5-11
Weight: 180
Projected Position: Quarterback

Rivals: 3-star. No. 22 player in Maryland
247: 3-star, No. 50 overall athlete, No. 12 player in Maryland

DeJuan Ellis is a northern Virginia native who played his senior season at the McDonogh school in Owings Mills, MD.  Before that, he played at Bishop O’Connell in Arlington.  So while he’s technically listed as an out-of-state recruit due to where he played his senior season, for all intents and purposes Ellis is an in-state prospect.

If Ellis were technically an in-state recruit, I would rank him inside the top 10, and probably somewhere very close to the top five.  He was an undersized quarterback at the high school level, but when I look around the state, I don’t see very many guys who can touch Ellis from an athletic standpoint.  More on his athleticism later.
