Nine schools have come to a consensus that Everett (Mass.) 2019 three-star athlete Mike Sainristil has the ability to play at the college level. But there’s far less of a consensus of where he would have the biggest impact.

Offers have come in from Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Indiana, Rutgers, Boston College, Southern Miss, Coastal Carolina, Rhode Island and most recently, Wisconsin. And there’s been a differing of opinion for each, that’s made it difficult to forecast where he’ll play. Of course, there are other factors Sainristil is taking into account, even if he’s nowhere close to a decision.

Sainristil (5-10, 175), Rivals.com’s No. 2 player in Massachusetts for 2019, has played on offense primarily as a receiver and on defense as a cornerback. He’s also returned kicks and punts, making special teams a factor as well.

“I play both ways, so I look for teams that throw the ball,” Saintristil said. “On defense, it’s just teams who run nickel, zone, that kind of stuff. I look into what teams I could fit in, if I played special teams, too.”
