With nine offers in for Class of 2019 wide receiver Jacoby Pinckney, his process of looking at schools has progressively changed. He’s specifically looking at some areas more than others, figuring out how he meshes with coaches and other aspects.

“It used to be, anyone that would offer, I’m thinking, ‘I’ve got to see one of these schools,’” Pinckney said. “Now that I have more options, I’m really looking at if I fit in the system, what kind of school it is, if it’s not too far. Distance isn’t really a problem, though. Coaches, if I can have a good relationship with a coach, that would put that school higher. You can talk a lot and not have a relationship. Really, it’s how I fit in the system, how good the school is academically, then relationships with coaches.”

Ole Miss is the latest to offer Pinckney, Rivals.com’s No. 2 ranked player in South Carolina in his class. The junior at Dorman High School in South Carolina has taken a pair of visits already this fall for games. But while a few schools have better jockeying position than others, Pinckney is still sifting through all his recruiting options.

Pinckney’s last visit was to Virginia Tech on Sept. 30 for the Hokies’ game against Clemson. It was Pinckney’s first game in Blacksburg since he visited last year for Virginia Tech’s win over East Carolina.
