Class of 2018 defensive tackle Rick Sandidge is a consensus 4-star recruit, and is ranked 32nd in the Rivals100. He has over 20 offers and has long been one of the most sought-after defensive linemen in the 2018 class.
Sandidge has maintained a top seven of Virginia Tech, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Michigan, Georgia and Penn State since early August. He’s seen three of those for games this fall, including the Hokies Saturday.
But if you talk to Sandidge, a senior at Concord High School in North Carolina, he’ll tell you he hasn’t earned anything yet.
“I don’t think I’m even that good,” he said. “I’m not up to my full potential. I feel like I can do more to help out my team. That’s my main focus, to improve and help them out. I can’t think of a thing I wouldn’t do to help them.”
That humility is certainly appealing for all of those in his top seven, but Sandidge is still sifting through what appeals the most for him.
