Often, it seems to TL Hanna (Anderson, SC) 2019 four-star defensive end Zacch Pickens (6-4, 240) that all anyone wants to ask him about are his home-state schools. Sure, he’s interested in Clemson and South Carolina. But he’s also looking a bit further.

Pickens is up to 18 offers. And he’s taken a handful of visits already. He’s got one more coming this weekend, but for the time being, he’s not leaning towards any school or group of schools.

“I look for where I can feel like home and everything is a good environment,” Pickens said. “Also, where it’s all calm or cool. I’m thinking about majoring in business. I did change my mind, but I know I want to go for business.”

Pickens has visited both Clemson and South Carolina, along with Florida State and Tennessee. Nothing especially caught his attention, though, in his mind.

“I like how they just treated me real well and it was home,” Pickens said of each visit. “They all were about the same, so no one really stood out.”

Virginia Tech is among those pushing for him to make a stop soon. Pickens has yet to see Blacksburg, but
