Clifton, VA. — While some recruits have already started narrowing things down in their recruitment, Raymond Boone is taking advantage of camp season to bring more interest in from other schools.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound athlete from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, MD. Currently claims eight scholarship offers, mostly from FBS programs on the East Coast. Maryland, Pittsburgh, Kentucky and Virginia Tech are his most notable offers.
Boone has only visited two schools so far, both of whom he visited last year. He said he took trips to both Maryland and Virginia Tech, and enjoyed both. Boone’s visit to Blacksburg was for the Virginia game, and he said the crowd turnout was impressive.
“That atmosphere, it was live,” Boone said. “They’ve got a lot of people supporting them. A lot of alumni came back and I got to meet a lot of players. It was a chill environment.”
Wide Receivers Coach Holmon Wiggins has been Boone’s primary recruiter, and Boone says the two talk often.
“I like the way they’re pursuing me, like they’re fighting for me a lot,” Boone said. “He’s a cool dude. We’ve met probably three times, he’s come up to my school. He’s chill people, I like him.”
