Dillon Spalding Enjoys Visit, Close to Narrowing List of Schools

Virginia Tech hosted a ton of recruits last weekend, including a few from the state of Virginia. One of those is Dillon Spalding, a wide receiver from Lorton, VA. 

Spalding, a 4-star recruit, has been on the Hokies’ board for a while and visited for last year’s Spring Game. Over the weekend, he returned to see practice and tour the campus more.

“It was great overall, I loved it,” Spalding said. “The atmosphere was great and the coaches were very cool. Everything was good.”

Spalding said that he toured the entire campus, got a closer look at the academic side of things and got to sit in on the wide receiver meeting.

Virginia Tech is well into their spring practice schedule, and Spalding said he enjoyed the vibe at practice.

“It was great. Very similar to the practices at my school,” Spalding said. 

Spalding recently visited West Virginia, who offered him in February. He also has visits lined up to North Carolina, Penn State, Syracuse and Pittsburgh, and possibly some other schools too. For now, the only school out of that group to offer is Syracuse, but that could change after he visits.

After those visits, Spalding says
