Over the last month and a half, Union (Va.) four-star tight end James Mitchell has gotten a good look at a few of the schools recruiting him hardest.
In late January, Mitchell visited Clemson, in early February it was Duke, and nearly two weeks ago he was at Tennessee. On April 8, he’ll trek a few hours to Virginia Tech to catch a spring practice. Coincidentally, those are also the four schools Mitchell believes are recruiting him hardest.
But Mitchell, No. 247 in the Rivals250, is still keeping his same list of criteria for schools in mind at each stop.
“I’m still just looking for the place,” he said. “Like I said before, where I’m gonna get a good education, where I’ll be around good people, good staff and good teammates. It’s the place I’m gonna fit in on and off the field.”
Mitchell last visited the Hokies in September for their win over Boston College. He had hoped to visit for their Junior Day in January, but had to cancel.
