There are 10 offers in for South County (Va.) three-star wide receiver Dillon Spalding. But at this point, he’s simply looking over his options, including a few that haven’t made him an offer yet.

Virginia, Old Dominion, Temple and West Virginia are the most recent to offer. And Spalding is set to see the Mountaineers this weekend as he also continues to look for the aspects he wants to find in a school.

“I wanna have a good relationship with the coaches,” Spalding said. “Feeling at home is a major deal to me, too. I don’t have a major picked out, but I definitely want good academics, too.”

Virginia Tech is also firmly in the mix. Spalding,’s No. 11 player in Virginia and No. 84 wide receiver, is set to visit the Hokies April 1.

“They’re in-state, it’s a great school and they’ve got a great program,” he said. “I’m excited to go down there again, to see the coaches. Every time I go down, it’s great.”

So far, Spalding has been to Blacksburg just once for a football-related visit. It came last year for Virginia Tech’s spring game. But he’s also visited numerous times to see friends.

“The football visit was great,” Spalding said. “It’s a great atmosphere and there were a ton of people at the spring game. The people are nice and it’s just a great environment.”

Spalding said he’s also stayed in steady contact with assistant coach Holmon Wiggins, his primary recruiter.

“Just being one of the top guys there, they’re in-state and he talks about me repping my state,” Spalding
