Since the Hokies play tomorrow, Wednesday is the new Friday!

1) Any update on who is redshirting and who is not would be great. – Guy LeDouche

Chris Coleman: Yep, I can do that.  Let’s go through the entire list of true freshmen…

LB Tavante Beckett: Beckett is playing special teams, and he has seen time in mopup situations at Backer.  He has played in all six games, and he has four tackles.

LB Emmanuel Belmar: There was talk of Belmar playing this year, but ultimately the coaching staff decided to redshirt him.  Though there has been no specific word, I assume Belmar is playing Backer.

LB Eron Carter: Carter is redshirting while working at the Mike spot.

WR Divine Deablo: Deablo is getting work at wide receiver and on special teams.  He made a catch against ECU, and he had an impressive tackle on the kickoff team against UNC.  He has played in all six games.

WR Samuel Denmark: Denmark is still a bit raw, and he is being redshirted in 2016.

ROV Reggie Floyd: Floyd has appeared in all six games on special teams, and has seen mopup duty on defense.

DT Jarrod Hewitt: Hewitt is redshirting thanks to Tech’s solid depth at defensive tackle.

OT Jarrett Hopple: Hopple is redshirting along with all other true freshmen offensive lineman (thank goodness).

C/OG Zachariah Hoyt: Hoyt is redshirting as an interior offensive lineman.

QB Josh Jackson: Jackson hasn’t seen any action thus far, and at this point I’m assuming the coaches have decided to redshirt him.  I’m very high on his future.

OT TJ Jackson: Jackson is redshirting
