1) The one thing that stuck in my mind from the info from yesterday was about Isaiah Ford. Why was he kept out of spring drills? It certainly didn’t feel like it was just so the new kids could get some reps. Were you privy to that info? Can you go deeper into the reason? And should the reason be of some concern to the already lack of depth at WR? – thankbud
Chris Coleman: Put your mind at ease. Isaiah Ford is just fine. He had a minor injury in the spring. This staff doesn’t release much injury information, so I don’t know exactly what was wrong. Ford still did quite a bit of practicing, but he was held out of contact drills. He wasn’t inactive at all; he just didn’t get tackled to the ground.
Another piece of information that came out last night was that Ford has gained 16 pounds of muscle since the beginning of spring practice. He weighed 179 in March, and now he’s up to 195. He wouldn’t have been able to put on that much good weight if he had a serious injury. So trust me…Isaiah Ford is fine.
