1) If Devin Wilson sticks with the football team this year, where does that leave his status with basketball? Will he still be a member in good standing on the basketball team? There’s obviously a lot of overlap in the fall. – 501

Chris Coleman: I think it’s far too early to look that far ahead. There are a ton of things we don’t know right now…

1: We don’t know how Wilson is doing in practice.
2: We don’t know how many players Buzz Williams will add in the spring/summer.
3: We don’t know whether Wilson will stay healthy.
4: We don’t know whether he likes playing college football or not.

However, assuming that he does make the football team, I would think he would have a spot on the basketball roster once football season is over. Let’s say the Hokie football team plays in a bowl game between Christmas and New Year’s. That would put him back on the basketball team in early January.

At that point, he will have missed the entire preseason and the non-conference
