Virginia Tech Keeps Rolling

The Hokies have talented guards and wings, such as freshman Justin Robinson.

Virginia Tech’s current six-game winning streak is very impressive. What’s even more impressive is how the Hokies are winning those games.

The streak began back on Saturday, February 20 when the Hokies knocked off Florida State in Cassell. Okay, that’s nice, but Tech should beat Florida State in Blacksburg. The next two games were victories at Boston College and Wake Forest. Sure, they were road wins, but they came against a pair of teams that combined to go 2-36 in conference play, including two losses in the ACC Tournament. It was obvious Tech was getting better, but exactly how much better wasn’t clear.

The next three games gave us the answer. Though Tech only beat Pitt by four, they led that game by as many as 13 points in the second half. Then they came back in their next game and dominated #7 Miami for 40 minutes. They capped things off last night by leading a talented Florida State team from start to finish. The Hokies led by as many as 17 points in the final 20 minutes.

Not only is Virginia Tech winning basketball games, but they are handling ACC teams with relative ease. To recap…
